Booking Procedure
We are an Australian company based in Sydney and design organise and guide our own tours. For your security and peace of mind all moneys you pay us are held in trust until our walking tour is completed.
Most of the specially selected ancient inns, hotels and farms that we use on our tours are small family-run businesses, with whom we need to confirm at an early date in order to guarantee accommodation. To ensure your holiday please book early and avoid disappointment.
Prior to booking it is suggested you phone us first on +61 (0)2 4757 1166 to check availability, or to make a tentative reservation. To secure your booking print the booking form and forward it to us together with your deposit cheque.
To reserve your Walk UK tour we require a deposit of A$250 per person for each walk or section selected (i.e., A$500 per person for the Coast to Coast Walk Section 1 and Section 2). The balance is payable 90 days prior to the walk departure date.

Your contract with Walk U.K. is governed by Australian law and is valid only when your booking form, full payment and insurance details have been received, and your confirmation invoice has been issued.
It is a condition of booking with Walk U.K. that the client and his/her party take out an adequate insurance scheme for any loss they may suffer, including consequential loss, personal injury, illness, accident, damage, delay as well as walk cancellation fees. We strongly recommend that you take this insurance out on booking to cover yourself against any loss of deposit which could occur with unforeseen circumstances. Details of your policy must be forwarded to Walk U.K. with your final payment before your booking can be confirmed.
It is the responsibility of the client to ensure that passports, visas, health certificates, insurances, and any other travel documentation required for the holiday, are obtained by them and that these are in order and to meet any additional costs incurred as a result of failure to comply with such requirements.
Cancellations more than 60 days before tour departure - deposit only forfeited. From 59-30 days before tour departure - 50% refund on the tour price. Less than 30 days before tour departure - no refund. The date of cancellation will be the date upon which Walk U.K. receives such written notice. If we do not receive final payment three months prior we will assume cancellation and deposit will be forfeited. No refund will be made for uncompleted tours or if you fail to join the tour. Deposits are not refundable if you cancel.
Walk U.K. reserves the right to alter prices due to increased costs, taxes or significant fluctuations in the rate of exchange. All deposits and other payments to Walk U.K. are held in a trust account until such time as the tour is completed by Walk U.K.
Walk U.K. reserves the right to cancel any tour in which case no liability shall fall upon Walk U.K. In this case, participants are entitled to a full refund or transfer to another tour departure.
Walk U.K. reserves the right to alter or vary itineraries due to weather conditions or other factors without notice and to decline any bookings.
Normal good health is essential for a walking holiday. For your own safety if you are over the age of 70 years of if you suffer from any recurrent condition, we can only accept your booking if accompanied by a doctors certificate agreeing to you undertaking the tour.
Activity holidays contain an element of risk. Walk U.K. reserves the right (which shall not be unreasonably exercised) to refuse a clients participation at any time if they are considered to be a danger to themselves or to others. The client will indemnify us for any loss or damage arising from his/her actions and will notify us in writing at the time of booking of any special health problems or requirements. We also reserve the right to request any person to withdraw from the tour if we deem their acts or conduct to be offensive to or incompatible with the conduct of other clients and we shall be under no further liability thereafter to any such person.
Any complaint should be communicated to Walk U.K's local representative as soon as it arises and we will make every effort to rectify it.
Our specially selected traditional accommodation is mostly ancient Inns at least a few hundred years old, and bedrooms are often small, particularly single rooms which also may have less facilities. In some places with single supplement it may not be possible to guarantee a single room for every night of each tour. If sharing is ever necessary it will not be for more than one night in seven. The single supplement costs have been set with this in mind.
Whilst we endeavour to book only en-suite accommodation we cannot guarantee that this will be 100% available in some isolated locations, but we will do our best to obtain it.
